Protesting Property Values

The best research and analysis is of no use if there has not been a timely protest filed on your property. As with any government deadlines, property tax protest deadlines are hard and fast rules. If a protest is not filed, there is little to no recourse available to taxpayers. That said, it is obviously important to have your property tax accounts protested in a timely manner, and just as important by someone you trust. UPTG will ensure that all your accounts are protested timely via USPS Certified Mail. In most cases, and when available, we will also file electronic protests ensuring that you are dually protected.

Furthermore, once you are in our system, we will file timely protests automatically every year to ensure that these deadlines are not overlooked.

Attending Hearings

Perhaps one of the most misunderstood, dreaded and feared elements to this process is attending hearings. This can be a very stressful and time -consuming process. We understand that you are busy running a business and/or managing your properties, and this is valuable time that we propose can be saved by hiring UPTG. Most appraisal districts nationwide afford property taxpayers two initial forms of hearings…informal and formal. UPTG will attend both ON YOUR BEHALF. Furthermore, should we not garner the desired outcome from informal and formal hearings, we are ready, willing and equipped to file binding arbitration or litigation on your behalf in order to maximize the reduction on your accounts.

As fellow business and property owners, we understand that property taxes can often be a confusing and frustrating subject matter. Going through this process can seem, at times, overwhelming. We aim to provide our clients with the peace of mind that their property taxes are being handled professionally, legally and in a timely manner. At UPTG we do all these things in order to add the most money possible to your bottom line while saving you valuable time as a business owner.
