With an accounting degree from the University of North Texas and more than six years working as an Auditor for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, James currently serves as Sales & Use Tax Consultant for United Paramount Tax Group. While with the State, James was responsible for recovering millions of tax dollars from a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail, dealerships, convenience stores, service, contracting and utility to name a few. His success as an auditor directly translates to the value he provides as a consultant. Understanding tax compliance from the State’s perspective allows James to effectively position a business as they enter into the audit process. In addition to extensive sales and use tax experience, James also has experience and training in refund and franchise tax laws and procedures.
