Doug grew up in Fort Worth, Texas graduating from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in advertising. He has more than 34 years experience in marketing and sales management. After a long career in the healthcare industry working for some global “blue chip” companies as well as several start-ups, Doug successfully leveraged his skills into the property tax profession in 2000 and has spent the last seven years growing the sales & use tax division for another firm. He joined UPTG in early 2009 to launch the Sales & Use Tax division. Doug’s prior experience includes working with a variety of industries including energy, food & beverage, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, media, oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, retail, software, technology and wholesale. His responsibilities include managing all marketing-related efforts for the new division and maintaining positive client relations to effectively grow the division services. Doug also serves as a Commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Burleson.
