With more than 12 years experience working in the sales and use tax industry, Mr. Ayres’ has built a solid reputation for his aggressive pursuit of reducing tax liabilities for a variety of clients, including numerous “Forbes 500” companies. As a transaction tax specialist, Brad has secured more than $55 million in sales and use tax audit reductions and credits in Texas alone.

When it comes to taxability, Brad welcomes the challenges surrounding complex tax issues. For one past client, he conducted a review of final audit another national tax consulting firm had initially been hired to perform. His review resulted in more than $300,000 in additional tax savings. This is one of many success stories that are directly attributed to Brad’s aggressive approach to recovering and reducing taxes. Throughout his career he has acquired a valuable combination of knowledge, creativity and tenacity—ingredients making him an elite tax consultant within his field.

Prior to joining UPTG, Brad served eight years at Ryan, Inc., a tax service company which claims the largest transaction tax practice in the country. During his tenure, Brad saw the company grow from 363 employees and $74 million in revenue to more than 800 employees with $195 million. Prior to Ryan, Brad served in a leadership role for a boutique sales and use tax consulting firm. Although two very different experiences, the one similarity was the list of happy clients he left behind.

Brad currently serves as Director of Sales & Use for UPTG. He is a long-time resident of the Dallas, Texas area and currently resides in Frisco, Texas with his wife and three children.
